You’re not on a journey,
you are the journey.
My name is Vinita Laroia and I grew up in the woods of New England. I am a first generation Indian-American. While my parents encouraged me to study hard, I was most often outside - daydreaming up in a tree or out at the ocean.
My yoga and meditation practice began in 1998 while I was a student and ski bum in Colorado. Since then I have made long term homes in Wyoming, Japan, and California. Influenced by the natural world and the many places I have traveled, my style is based on a sense of deep ecology and global philosophy.
Although I have attended many trainings and long immersions in the practice of yoga, barre, functional movement, and music; my greatest teachers have been my students.
Training & Education
My path has unfolded over many places and seasons, guided by a steady commitment to living with integrity and creating work that is thoughtful and enduring.
Training
I am certified yoga teacher with over 1,000 hours of training in mindful movement, alignment, and meditation. Primary studies include teacher training with Mark Stephens, hands-on adjustments with Eoin Finn, Living the Eight Limbs with Janet Stone, advanced meditation training with Dr. Lorin Roche and Camille Maurine, and Barre Eclipse with Adrienne Rabena. I am committed to ongoing study and bringing depth, clarity, and care into each class.
