Insight on Karma Yoga
In the begining we practice to teach. Later, we teach to practice.
But, the most profound shift in a teacher’s evolution occurs when teaching itself becomes a practice.
When your teaching becomes sadhana (self-study), every session and every instruction refines the awareness of subtle energies. Each of your student’s challenges become a mirror for your own. Each class becomes an act of karma yoga: action without any attachment.
There will definitely be days where your instruction feels scattered, when you doubt yourself, and class attendance drops.
These moments are not only a part of your professional training, but your spiritual training.
Teaching will expose your insecurities, your false ego, your unholy attachments until only your absolute humility remains.
That humility - that brave glowing center piece is the true qualification of a yoga teacher.
